White Christmas

This was a special Christmas this year. For many reasons.... We stayed home as a family and slept at our home for the first time. It was magical! We ate dinner and the cousins dressed up like the nativity at the Grandparents in St G on Christmas Eve. The boys went to bed tired but so excited for what was to come. We put out cookies and milk and carrots of course. The next morning we opened our gift to Jesus Christ first. We started a new tradition to help us remember the meaning of the season. Throughout the month if we did or saw somebody do something that Jesus would do or when we were trying to be like Jesus...... we wrote it on a piece of paper and put it in the Jesus Jar. We opened the jar and read many neat things about each other. It was fun to see the kids smile and feel good when I read something they had done. After that we woke Blake up and got to it(I filmed it). They were so happy and excited! What a special time of year. Its joyful and triumphant!

I also want to note that we hosted Thanksgiving this year at our house. My first one without my mother. And it went off without a hitch:) And then also hosted Higbee Christmas party here as well. I feel grateful I am able to do this. Good times(Papa as Santa) ha ha classic.
